JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – On Thursday, United Cumberland Bank made a $2,500 investment in the Caryville Cares Playground.
The initiative to bring an inclusive playground to Campbell County was started nearly a year ago, with a group of young people coming together to tackle one of the community’s largest projects ever. Â Currently, children with disabilities have no place to safely play.
Playground committee member Patrick Pebley said “United Cumberland Bank has really stepped up to help make this dream a reality. Â From supporting us with this project to being involved with nearly every non-profit in the area, it’s easy to see why they were named the 2021 Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year. Â We can only make this dream a reality if people continue to step us and help invest in our future.”
To learn more about the project, visit “Caryville Cares Playground” on Facebook. Â The group is actively fundraising through a GoFundMe campaign, has a fundraising dinner planned for March 12, 2022, and is working out the final details for a Christian comedy show.
