JoAnne Walden Pennington, of LaFollette

JoAnne Walden Pennington, of LaFollette passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the age of 52. She was formerly employed with Camel Manufacturing and deeply loved time spent with her grandchildren. JoAnne is preceded in death by her infant grandson, Ezekiel Greene, parents, J.P. and Barbara (Heatherly) Walden, sister, Patricia Allen, brothers, Louie Walden and Ricky Johnson, infant brother, Jason Ray Walden, and grandparents, Sam and Marie Heatherly, and Floyd and Rosalee Walden.

She is survived by her daughters, Kayla Greene (Tyler), Taylor Mulligan (Dalton), and Faith Pennington (Daniel Hooks); her grandchildren, Grayson Mulligan, Landon Lay, Ayda Greene, Ella Greene, Braylon Hooks, and Sawyer Greene; brothers, Charlie Walden and Floyd “Sambo” Walden; best-friend of 48 years, Patti Birchfield; long-time boyfriend, Randy Nelson, and dear friend, Larry Collins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tyler Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Walden Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in JoAnne’s honor to assist with final expenses.
