JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)-  Jason Kennedy has been given a trial date in his vehicular homicide by intoxication case. Kennedy will face a jury beginning on March 30, 2027.

Kennedy was indicted in late 2023 following a two-year investigation into the crash that claimed the lives of Angelina Tidwell and her newborn son Atlas.

The accident that resulted in Kennedy’s indictment occurred in December 2021.

He was driving south on Oak Run Lane in LaFollette and was driving too fast for condition’s at the time of the crash, according to the report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

His 2008 Chevrolet left the right side of the road striking a tree, the report said.

Kennedy had a blood alcohol level of .08 and tested positive for marijuana, the report said.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 9/1/2026- 6AM)
