Field of candidates set for local November election

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (WLAF)- Three municipalities will have elections in November. Caryville, Jellico and La Follette will fill a total of 13 upcoming vacancies. When the noon deadline passed today 20 people had qualified to run for office.

The election is Tue., Nov. 3.

Caryville will elect a mayor and three aldermen. On the ballot, three aldermen seats are up, the seats of Josh Monday, Vickie Heatherly and Jordan Cross. The remaining two year term of former mayor David Chambers is on the ballot.

At Jellico, a mayor and six aldermen will be elected. 

Two openings on the City of La Follette Council will need to be filled. Chuck Queener and Stephanie Solomon’s terms are nearing their end.
