JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Campbell County Commission Chairman Johnny Bruce made a proclamation at Monday’s regular monthly commission meeting in honor of former commissioner Robert Higginbotham.

Higginbotham was instrumental in obtaining the Americans Disability Act (ADA) compliant courtesy dock at Graveyard Point. The dock was dedicated in honor of Higginbotham.

“This stands as a testament to the hard work of Robert Higginbotham put in to get this worked on; it is the first ADA compliant wheelchair dock in the county.   It marked a significant milestone in fostering inclusiveness. We are grateful for the leadership that went into this,” Bruce said. Higginbotham was unable to make it to Monday’s meeting.
