Barbara Allred, 83, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born on October 13, 1942, in Turley, Tennessee to Floyd and Opal Adkins. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Opal Adkins, and siblings James Adkins, Mildred Ulmer, Clifford Adkins, Anna Lou Adkins, Carl Adkins, Christine Helferich, Pauline Adkins, and Lee Roy Adkins.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years JC Allred of West Carrollton, OH, her daughter Tonya (Jeff) Spencer of Moraine, OH, her son Chuck (Marie) Allred of Moraine, OH, her beloved Grandson Christopher (Kelli) Spencer of Franklin, OH, and Great Granddaughters Audrey and Brooklyn. Her dear sister Geneva (Joe) Perkins of Jacksboro, TN and loving brother Don (Sandy) Adkins, of Huntsville, AL. Her extended family Jason (Rhia) Tisdel of Ft. Sumter, SC, Jeff Tisdel of Anchorage, AK and Miriam Tisdel of Anchorage, AK. And many cousins, nieces and nephews all of which she loved and treasured deeply.
Barbara was a devoted wife and mother, always putting her family first. She especially treasured being a “Nana” to her grandson, Christopher, and later to her great-granddaughters Audrey and Brooklyn. Her greatest joy came from spending time with those she loved. Barbara had a warm heart, a beautiful smile, and a gift for making everyone around her feel welcome and happy. She had a passion for photography, was an exceptional cook and took great pride in keeping a warm and immaculate home. She will be remembered for her kindness, wit, grace and unwavering love for her family and friends. Barbara touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
The family will receive friends 10-11 AM Monday August 10, 2026 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with service to follow in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. George Asbury officiating. Interment to follow service at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
