Josephine Cross, age 70, of Caryville, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and retired from Clinch-Powell Headstart. Taking care of her family was the most important thing in her life. She was preceded in death by parents:

Homer and Mary West Seiber, sister: Marie Daugherty, brother: Clifton Seiber, father and mother-in-law: Jr. and Gerene Cross.

Survived by

Husband: Steve Cross

Sons: Steve Cross Jr. and Tina, Jason Cross and Monica

Daughter: Jessica Cross and Jessica

Grandchildren: Paula, Stepheney, Colby, Caleb, Madison and Isla

Brothers: Claude (Diddie) Seiber, Clyde Seiber

Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends 4-6 PM Friday, August 7, 2026 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 1 PM Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service at Phillips Cemetery in Caryville.
