With a week to go, early voting numbers top 2,000

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Monday begins the final week of early voting running through Sat., Aug. 1. Sat., July 25, featured a turnout of 150 votes cast, up 25 votes from Sat., July 18. The running total stands at 2,049 compared 2,412 votes cast at this stage in the August 2022 election.

Early voting hours for Monday are from 9am until 4pm at the Election Commission office at 129 Church Alley at Jacksboro and 9am-2pm at Jellico, 410 South Main Street, in the Municipal building.

Candidates are allowed to campaign but must remain 100 feet from the election commission building. Tents must be set up behind church. Candidates can not set up tents to the left of the building due to construction.
