LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- On Monday afternoon at 5:30pm, at City Hall, the LaFollette City Council is slated to discuss the six acres in front of the sports complex at the regular monthly workshop along with other topics. The council is also slated to discuss an E-911 board member, trash pickup and an event permit for Common Ground Coffee Shop Joey St. John represents Common Ground with the request.
In the public works department, the council will discuss promoting Thomas Thompson to a full time laborer effective Aug. 8, the right of way on Nevada Avenue and a guardrail on Depot St. and Claiborne Rd.
The employment status of Clifford Gerrish in the recreation department is alsoon the agenda.
The last items on the agenda for discussion are Resolution 2026-10 authorizing the City of LaFollette to participate in the PEP Risk Management Pool (Safety Partners) Loss Control Matching Grant Program and Ordinance 2026-07 establishing a temporary moratorium on the acceptance, processing, and approval of applications for new data centers.
