City moves forward with audit of LUB

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- After Tuesday’s special called joint workshop with the LaFollette Utility Board, the LaFollette City Council met in a special called meeting.

There was one item on the agenda. That item was the approval of a special audit for the LaFollette Utility Board.

Councilman Mark Hoskins made the motion to move forward with special audit by Pugh and Company at the cost of $12,500, stating the cost will be split 50/50 between the city and utilities, but if there are significant findings a meeting will be called between the two entities to discuss payment for the audit.

Councilman Stephanie Solomon made a second to the motion with all members of the council voting yes. The audit is slated to begin July 27.
