JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- About ten minutes into Monday’s County Commission workshop, commissioners called an executive session meeting with county attorney Joe Coker regarding county insurance and a possible lawsuit.

After the hour long executive session, the meeting was reconvened and commissioner David Adkins made a motion “to authorize the county mayor to act in any matters involving our county insurance.”

This motion was approved unanimously.

When asked after the workshop, Commission Chairman Johnny Bruce had no comment to make regarding the executive session.

County Mayor Lynch said he could not discuss it either, but when asked if it involved a possible lawsuit, Lynch said “yes.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHSED-07/14/2026-6AM)
