
Jeanette (McNealy) Jones
April 26, 1941 – July 11, 2026
Jeanette (McNealy) Jones, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Jellico, Tennessee, was a devoted wife and mother who loved and cherished her family. She will be remembered for the care, warmth, and dedication she gave to those closest to her.
Jeanette was born in Jellico, Tennessee, on April 26, 1941, to the late John L. McNealy and Madeline (Taylor) McNealy. She was a member of the Jellico High School Class of 1959. On September 19, 1959, she married her sweetheart, Sterling Leroy Jones, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and devotion.
Preceded in Death
Jeanette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sterling Leroy Jones; her parents, John L. McNealy and Madeline (Taylor) McNealy; and her brothers, Robert Earl “Babe” McNealy and Jack McNealy.
Survivors
She is survived by her children, Carrie (Jones) Hopkins and husband Randy, Keith Jones and wife Shelby, and Dan Jones; her grandchildren, Madeline Flynn and husband Aaron, Joey Freeman and husband Andrew, Taylor Stephens and husband Josh, Austin Jones, Zach Jones, Brook Jones, Peyton Jones and husband Thomas Gilman, Jacob Jones and partner D’Waine Williams, Brandon Lee; her sister, Vonnie (McNealy) Hatfield; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral Service
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico, Tennessee, with Rev. Francis Dople Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 4:00 p.m.
Interment will follow in Douglas Cemetery in Wooldridge, Tennessee.
