Almira June Forstner, age 84 of Jacksboro

Almira June Forstner, age 84 of Jacksboro passed away Saturday July 11, 2026. She was a member of Caryville First Baptist Church and retired from K-25 Plant in Oak Ridge. June was the former mayor of the city of Jacksboro.

She was preceded in death by husband Donald Forstner, parents Orien and Pernie Shelton Gwin, Brother Omar Gwin and Sister Gwindolyn Gwin

Survived by

Brother: Lynn Gwin and wife Linda

Nephews: Curtis Gwin and wife Michelle, Lynn Gwin and wife Tiffany

Niece: Carla Cameron and husband Paul

Great Niece and Nephews: James Gwin, Emily Payne, and Heston Gwin

And a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Wednesday July 15, 2026, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7 PM with Rev. Troy Arnold officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 AM Thursday July 16, 2026, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Jacksboro Cemetery for an 11 AM interment service.
