CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- We heard the sad news Tuesday of the passing of Bailey, the dog, the dog who made Dave’s Lawn Mower Parts famous. As a result, lots of Bailey memories came rushing back, like the time Big Josh on WLAF called Bailey’s name out over the air, and she looked right at the radio looking for Josh. And when Bailey and I became fast friends right after I found where Dave hid her treats.

They carry tons of parts in stock at “the lowest prices in town.” If Dave doesn’t have it, he can order it and usually have it by the next day.
Dave Crabtree has more than 36 years in the lawnmower parts business and has operated Dave’s for 20-plus years now. His 15-year-old dog Bailey has been by his side through it all.
“She’s my baby, she comes to work with me every day. If I say work, she’s out the door faster than I am,” Crabtree said.
Bailey, the Australian Shepherd, has been a fixture at Dave’s since he got her as a six-month-old puppy more than 15 years ago. She was given to him by a customer. He got to go pick her out of the litter up in Stinking Creek.
She has seen the “ins and outs of the lawn mower business and life” and has been with Crabtree through thick and thin.
She still rides up in the mountains with Crabtree in his side by side and chases him when he rides on the four-wheeler. She “loves to get dirty and jump in mud and water.”
“Everybody knows Bailey. She’s been with me through good and hard times,” Crabtree said.
