JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Not having license plate lights prompted a deputy to conduct a traffic stop just up the road from the County Highway Department.

Right before midnight Thursday, Campbell Deputy Clinton Hutchinson pulled over a 2002 silver Toyota Camry on Mount Paran Road at East Industrial Park Drive.

As the deputy ran a check of the car, he learned that its registration was suspended; expired for almost a year.

The deputy made contact with the driver, Michael Butturini, who allegedly stated that he did not have insurance and that he was aware the registration was expired. His driver’s license also came back suspended. Additionally, there was a warrant for Butturini’s arrest.

Butturini was placed under arrest. His car was towed.

Butturini, 47, Kidwell Lane-Jacksboro, was booked at 12:50am and released on bond at 9am. He is charged with improper display of registration plate, failure to provide proof of insurance, driving while license suspended and driving with expired registration. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-06/29/2026-6AM)
