Mr. Wayne Millard Chapman, age 83, went home to be with his Lord & Savior on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family in Jacksboro, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lillian Chapman of the Glade Springs community, and his 3 brothers, Glen, Jack, and James.

Whether Wayne was fishing, riding his tractor, or riding his Polaris on the mountain trails, he was happiest outdoors, or as he would say, “Working”. Wayne was a jolly soul who loved big and, most importantly, loved his family and friends. Wayne grew up logging with his dad and brothers and was later employed with Y-12 National Security Complex until his retirement. Wayne was a long-time member of Stooksbury Masonic Lodge #602, F&AM, and later, Jacksboro Lodge #322. He was a member and Deacon of Cumberland View Baptist Church, and formerly taught the Young Adults Sunday School Class in his younger years.

In 1963, he married the love of his life, Dianna, and over the next 63 years, built a home and family that stood the test of time. Together, they lived a happy life with many wonderful memories of fishing, four-wheeling, traveling, and raising 3 wonderful children.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna (Brooks) Chapman; children, Ronald Wayne Chapman and wife, Donna, Christi Dawn Crass and husband, Bobby, and Joy Beth Chapman. He has 6 Grandchildren, Brian Keith Chapman, Klaresha (Crass) Whitted, Jessica (Crass) West, Bobby Crass, Jr., Danny Wilhoit, II, and Daniella Brook (Wilhoit) Daugherty. He also has 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Ault officiating. Interment to follow at Cumberland View Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Wayne Millard Chapman.
