Raye Josephine Pilley Shoun, age 97, of Rocky Top, formerly of LaFollette

Raye Josephine Pilley Shoun, age 97, of Rocky Top, formerly of LaFollette, TN and Siler City, NC passed away Saturday May 9, 2026. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Siler City, NC and former member of First Baptist Church in LaFollette. She was a retired school teacher after many years of service. Preceded in death by husband Rev. John L. Shoun, Jr, sons John Shoun III, and Timothy Shoun.

She is survived by:

Daughters: Lisa and Tina

Sons: Peter and James

Several grandchildren and great grandchildren

The family will receive friends from 10- 11:30 AM Thursday May 14 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and then proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for 12 Noon graveside service and interment with Rev. Jason Golden officiating
