Laura Sue Ayers, age 78, of Jacksboro passed away Friday, March 6, 2026. She was of the Holiness faith.

Sue enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Preceded in death by husband, Rev. Pat Ayers, Parents: George and Elsie Mae Hassler Blankenship. Sisters: Ruth Walker and Trula Lee Broyles. Brothers: Carl, Jack, Buddy Joe, Verlin, Lonnie and Johnny Blankenship.

Survived by

Son: Mike Ayers and Leighann Perkins

Daughter: Shelia and husband Monroe Johnson

Special friends Paulette Norman, Betty Asbury, Brenda Brandenburg, and Helen Blankenship.

Special Little friends: Mason and Claire Seiber.

Several Nieces and Nephews and a host of other relatives and friends

Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday March 10 at Cross-Smtih Funeral Home with service to follow at 7 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel. Rev. Hansford Bolton and Rev. JT Asbury Officiating,

Family and friends will meet 10 AM Wednesday March 11 and proceed to Powell Valley Memorial for 11 AM interment.
