LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- We’ve all had that teacher who inspired us or helped in some way. That’s why Eagle Tire Pros salutes one of our hard working educators with a weekly feature. Teachers make a difference in their students lives each and every day. For many students, having a teacher who cares and goes that extra mile can be the difference in a successful education and graduation.
Rachel Leach is Eagle Tire Pros Educator of the Week. She teaches first grade at LaFollette Elementary School.
Leach is from Andersonville and she attended college at Tennessee Tech for her bachelor’s degree and East Tennessee State University to obtain her master’s degree.

She shared a little about her hobbies, which include spending time with her son Andrew, reading, and watching Anime.
Leach is a 1st Grade at Lafollette elementary school and is in her fifth-year teaching.
She said it was one of her own educators that inspired her to follow a career path in teaching.

“My fifth-grade teacher Ms. Linkes inspired me to be a teacher because of how much of an impact she left on me and instilled my love for reading in me,” Leach said.
Her favorite part of teaching is “building relationships with her students.”
“I enjoy working with them in small groups where I can see them grow the most,” Leach said.
Every Thursday, WLAF’s Charlotte Underwood features the WLAF – Eagle Tire Pros teacher of the week. That educator also receives a free oil change from Eagle Tire Pros.
