‘Kees visit Lindsay-Oakes Gym; WLAF will have the live telecast presented by Hope+Stand Church

JELLICO, TN (WLAF)- The Jellico Blue Devils, winners of three straight post season games and four of their last five outings, begin a new chapter as region play opens Saturday. District 4’s Greenback Cherokees venture to Lindsay-Oakes Gym for a 7pm contest. “It’s always a plus to be able to play at home,” said Jellico Coach Mike Reynolds.

Jellico is 17 and 13 from District 3-A while Greenback represents District 4-A. The Cherokees are 2 & 15 (unofficially) with both wins coming over District opponent Oakdale. “Greenback has improved a lot throughout the season,” said Reynolds.

Jellico enters the first round region game as District 3 Tournament Champions off a 62-57 overtime win over Oliver Springs at Harriman. Greenback lost 61-56 to Midway finishing fourth in its district tourney.

“We have to be prepared and be ready for a tough match-up,” said Coach Reynolds.
