Billy Joe Horne, age 48, of Knoxville formerly of LaFollette passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, after a long battle with health issues. He was of the Baptist Faith and employed as General Manager at Sonic for 30 plus years and a car and motorcycle enthusiast.

Preceded in death by father: James Clifford Horne, brother: James Horne, Jr., grandmother: Charlotte Horne Housley, Margie White

Fiancé  Amanda England

Daughter: Alyssa Horne, Lakyn and husband Brandon Chadwell

Grandson on the way: Drew Chadwell

Mother: Brenda Chapman

The family will receive friends 12-2 PM Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with service to follow at 2 PM Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. JR Kitts officiating. Interment to follow at Powell Valley Cemetery.
