Daniel Lee Miracle, age 69

Mr. Daniel Lee Miracle, known to most as “Danny” or “Bear”, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the age of 69.  He was born on March 6, 1956, to the late Oscar and Opal (Capps) Miracle.  Danny was employed in the food service industry for most of his life, beginning in his early teens at the Royal Lunchroom and later at Goins Restaurant for many years.  He was a co-owner of the Bear’s Den Restaurant with Katie Goins, now known as Katie’s Restaurant, and ran a food truck serving local businesses.  He never let anyone go hungry if he knew it, often paying for the food himself.  Danny loved his job serving all of Campbell County and the surrounding areas, from locals to out-of-towners, old school friends, everyone was family coming home again. In his free time, Danny enjoyed gardening, canning, outdoor activities, cougar baseball, and spending time with his grandchildren. 

 In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Mack and Gertie Miracle; maternal grandparents, Tom and Mamie Sue (Pierce) Capps; brothers, Gary Miracle and Michael “Cub” Miracle; sister-in-law, Janice McDowell; husband, Kyle, Sr., and brothers-in-law, Johnny Carroll, Daniel Carroll, and Randle Carroll. 

 He is survived by his wife, Aslee (Carroll) Miracle; sons, Brad Miracle and wife, Diana, and Brian Miracle and wife, Ali; grandchildren, Bradley Miracle and Girlfriend, Kristen Wright, and Annaleigh and Benton Miracle; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Murphy and husband, Mack, Lois Carroll, Eva Holt, Dora Cook, Becky Jones and husband, Danny, Faye Jones and husband, Billy, and Bill Carroll and wife, Sylvia; former brothers-in-law, Jimmy Brown and Ron Reece; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 The family would like to express a special thank you to all the Staff of Tennova North Hospital for their compassionate care of Danny.

 The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM with Rev. Billy Smith, Rev. Nick Smith, and Rev. Kyle McDowell, Jr. officiating.  Family and friends will meet on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Greasy Hollow Cemetery for 12:00 P.M. Graveside Services and interment.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: Campbell County Cancer Association, P.O.
