Pedestrian struck by Sheriff’s Department cruiser

Woman was transported to the La Follette Medical Center

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- A pedestrian was struck soon after 7am Friday near the I-75 southbound entrance ramp on Joe Heatherly Blvd/Old Hwy 63.

One official explains that a Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy was on her way to work when the pedestrian was struck. It was said the deputy was coming off the interstate and the pedestrian was in the middle of the intersection close to Shoney’s.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was transported to the La Follette Medical Center by Campbell EMS, according to one official. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-12/19/2025-9:30AM)
