OLIVER SPRINGS, TN (WLAF) – Basketball is a game of runs, and that held true on Tuesday evening as Campbell traveled to Oliver Springs. The Cougars won the first meeting earlier in the season 72-61.
Campbell started strong, leading by as many as seven during the second quarter. The Cougars took a six-point, 23-17, lead into halftime.
The Bobcats’ home court advantage became a factor during the third quarter. OS stormed back to take the lead on the Cougars.
Oliver Springs made their run, but Campbell answered by out scoring OS 21-10 in the fourth quarter. The Cougars headed back to Jacksboro with a 59-48 victory improving to 3 & 5 for the year.
Three Cougars finished with double digits as Will Croley led the way with 19 points. Hunter Dotson racked up 11, and Jake Hatmaker finished with 10 points. The Kitts Paint and Body Player of the Game, Koalton Cupp, scored seven points. Jack Sexton ended up with four points. Braydon Graham rounded out the scoring column with one point.

“It starts with one,” said Cougar Assistant Coach Brandon Clawson. “We got Will (Croley) back a few games ago and we saw this stretch on the schedule as one where we wanna get rolling.”
