Lady Cougars 60 Karns 32….Karns 66 Cougars 62
JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Cougar JVs started Tuesday night’s triple header with Karns in frantic fashion with a last second win. Braxton Fox nailed a last second three to secure a 51 to 50 win.
The Lady Cougars won in convincing fashion over Karns by a final of 60 to 32. Campbell is 4 & 4 and 1 & 0 in the district. Karlie Allen was tops in the game with 19, Addie Coleman had 17 while Preslee Chapman scored 11. Taraji Abernathy tallied six followed by three from Kaylee Albright, and two points each from Lily Lloyd and Maggie Herrin.
Karns fought back against a very hard playing Cougar team to leave town with a 66 to 62 victory. Campbell is now 0 & 1 in the district with an overall mark of 2 & 5. Will Croley, back from injury, had 17 points with Jake Hatmaker adding 14. Other double-figure scorers include 11 from Jack Sexton, and 10 byHunter Dotson. Koalton Cupp had seven with Caden Heatherly chipping in three.
The Cougars and Lady Cougars venture to Barbourville, Kentucky, on Friday to take on the Barbourville Tigers in varsity contests only beginning at 6pm with the Lady Cougars game.
