Wreck happened just before 8am Tuesday

The driver of this 18-wheeler kicked out the windshield to get out.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- An 18-wheeler flat bed loaded with plastic overturned on this rainy Tuesday morning. The rig landed on its side as it was coming off the four lane onto Old Jacksboro Pike attempting to navigate the bend in the road. It was said a smaller truck was coming the other way.

This load of plastics turned over as rain fell on Tuesday morning.

Neither driver was injured. However, the driver of the big rig, from Mississippi, told WLAF News that he was pretty shaken up.

No one was injured.

The scene of the accident is just as you come off the four lane across from Old Woodson’s/Old IGA as the east most entrance to Old Jacksboro Pike.

The east most entrance to Old Jacksboro Pike was closed by this truck wreck.

La Follette Police were first on the scene followed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The THP is handling the investigation. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-11/25/2025-8:30AM)
