City of LaFollette Regional Planning Commission meets

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The LaFollette Regional Planning Commission held its monthly meeting at City Hall yesterday afternoon.

The first item on the agenda had to be raised from the table from last month’s meeting. J. R. Kitts is wanting to add a 30×60 building to his property at 811 Jacksboro Pike. The structure would be used for tire storage and installation of tires on smaller vehicles. Codes officer Stewart had no reservations and the motion was approved.

David and Amanda Brown have property located at 407 East Central Avenue that they are looking to building apartments on. To make this possible, they first had to ask for a variance request due to 1 of the 6 lots is zoned C-1 instead of C-2 like the other 5. The variance request passed. They then submitted a commercial site plan for the apartments. There will be two buildings and the entrance and exit would be located on 6th street. The motion passed.

Next, the LaFollette Golf and Country club have property located at 317 Country Club Road that they want to subdivide from one large parcel into six building lots. The motion was approved.

Finally, Gregg Miller submitted plans for subdivision of his property located at 612 West Fir Street. Miller wants to subdivide into three building lots. The codes officer saw no problem with this plan. The motion was approved. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-11/21/2025-6AM)
