Driver suffers minor injury

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Not that it was good, the initial call of an accident on West Chestnut Street turned out to be not as bad as initially thought.
Just before 7am, a man was attempting to turn around, and the car spun around and went up an embankment, according to one official. The official stated the man suffered an injury to one of his hands.
The mishap occurred in the 500 block of West Chestnut Street which dead ends into the ridge above Cherry Street. A lot of wet leaves are along the sides of the street and may have played a role in the incident.
La Follette Fire and Police along with Campbell EMS responded.
La Follette Police and Fire were called out about as soon as they cleared the West Chestnut Street call. A little before 7:30 Thursday morning, a car struck a deer in the 200 block of Hillside Drive, just off South 13th Street. That was near the end of the dead end street where the collision occurred.
