Animal Shelter is urgently seeking a hospice foster for Gertrude

JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- The Campbell County Animal Shelter is urgently seeking a hospice foster for Gertrude, a senior dog about 16–17 years old. After her beloved owner passed away, Gertrude was surrendered to the shelter. Now, she needs someone with a kind heart to give her the love and peace she deserves in her remaining time.

By opening your home, you’ll be giving Gertrude the greatest gift: safety, warmth, and companionship during her final days.

Here’s how to help, call the shelter at 423-566-8018, visit in person, Tuesday–Saturday, 12:00–5:30 pm or send a message to the Campbell County Animal Shelter team.
