La Follette Police make DUI arrest early on Tuesday

Pikeville man facing multiple charges

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- La Follette Police Officer Justin Tackett was on patrol early Tuesday morning and made a traffic stop around eight-am on Jacksboro Pike.

The vehicle pulled over for the officer near Charley’s Pizza at 2712 Jacksboro Pike.

James Daniel Amburgey, 55, of 327 Pete Smith Road- Pikeville, Tennessee, was charged with DUI, a failure to yield the right of way/change lanes and a failure to exercise due care.

Amburgey is free on a $3,000 bond and is due in court on November 18. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-11/12/2025-6AM)
