Stephen “Steve” Hatmaker, 72, of Jacksboro

Stephen “Steve” Hatmaker, 72, of Jacksboro, went to be with Jesus early October 14, 2025. He was a long-time member of Covenant Life Church of Norris where he played bass many years. He retired as Post Master from Pioneer Post Office in 2012. He was a devoted husband, father, and Pops, and faced many years of serious health issues with strength, humor, and faith.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth “Ann” Morton Hatmaker; son, Mark Aaron Hatmaker; daughter, Christa Lauren Roberts and husband Josh; and grandson, Malachi Thomas Roberts, who was the light of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Webb Hatmaker and Linden “Arnold” Hatmaker.

Funeral services are on Friday, October 17, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home. Receiving friends is from 1 to 3 p.m. with the funeral at 3 p.m., Rev. Tony McAfee Officiating. Burial will follow at Campbell County Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Covenant Life Church, 151 Sycamore Pl, Clinton, TN 37716.
