To help with the fundraising goal to build a pavilion at the Jellico Farmer’s Market

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- On behalf of the county commission, Campbell County Fifth District Commissioners and County Mayor Jack Lynch presented the City of Jellico with a $15,000 check on Monday morning to help with the fundraising goal to build a pavilion at the Jellico Farmer’s Market.
“The commission helped fund this project to promote economic development and tourism,” Mayor Lynch said.
A representative with the Jellico Farmer’s market had addressed the county commission at its workshop back in August requesting funds to help fund a Pavilion for the Farmer’s Market in Jellico.
They received a USDA grant for $75,000 to use on the project and have raised another $7,000, “dollar by dollar” but will still be short on funding.
Once the project is done, it’s “going to look like the old Depot in Jellico.”
