‘Property tax notices have gone out’ – Stan Foust

You can begin making your payment in person starting on Wednesday, according to Foust

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)–  “Our property tax notices are showing up in mail boxes this week, but you can pay starting Wednesday, if you like,” La Follette City Administrator Stan Foust said. Once the notices are loaded in the city’s system, we can begin taking payments, and that should be tomorrow, according to Foust.

Foust said tax payers don’t need the notice to pay.  He said, “Just come by city hall, and we can look you up, and you can get your early pay discount starting mid-week.”

Anyone paying their City of La Follette property taxes by Nov. 5, 2025, will receive a two percent discount, according to Foust.  After that timeline passes, a one percent discount runs until Dec. 5, 2025.  City of La Follette property taxes are due by Feb. 28, 2026.
