WLAF’s recognition of 100 year or more old businesses continues

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- WLAF continues celebrating local businesses that have been a part of the community and in business for more than 100 years. Today, First National Bank/Community Trust Bank and Camel Expeditionary are featured. On Wednesday, WLAF will be featuring more local centurion businesses.

“In a town this size to have three different businesses owned and run by the same families for 100 years or more is so unique,” said Rob Woodson, Woodson’s Cash Stores.

At the celebration of the 100th anniversary of EE Hill & Son Insurance in January, WLAF’s Charlie Hutson pointed out that La Follette now has three 100-year old or more businesses that are still owned and run by the same families. They are EE Hill & Son Insurance, Peoples Bank of the South and Woodson’s Cash Stores.

WLAF featured those three businesses on Monday here on 1450wlaf.com, and you can see the stories and photos on demand; E.E. Hill & Son Insurance, Peoples Bank of the South and Woodson’s Cash Stores. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-09/23/2025-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
