David Ford, age 78 of LaFollette, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1947, to the late O.D. and Lula Byrge Ford. He enjoyed spending time with his sister and family. David loved his church, High Street Baptist Church, and church family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing with his dog, Joey, and sitting on the front porch talking to everyone.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Ford, and niece, Glenna Polson.

David is survived by sister, Floetta Byrge; nieces, Shannon Byrge and Linda Parks; nephew, Jackie Polson; great nephew, Greg Marsee Jr. and wife Rachel; great-great nephews, Ethan, Matthew, and Gordi Marsee; special great nephew, Cody Polson and wife Sarah, and their children Bentley, Hayden, and Jax; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, officiated by Rev. James Adkins and Rev. Thomas Adkins.

The family has entrusted the care of David Ford to Martin Wilson Funeral Home, “Where Families Matter Most.”
