CCRFS dispatched at 3:51am Thursday

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A barn, housing a lot of hay, caught fire late Wednesday afternoon, and firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service responded.

It was 5:50pm Wednesday when the call went out to firefighters about the Cave Springs Road fire.

The Wednesday fire was extinguished, and fire fighters cleared the scene.

However, just before 4am Thursday, a neighbor called Central Dispatch saying the barn/hay fire reignited. The CCRFS responded again with one firefighter saying hay was still burning in an area of a wet field (from Wednesday and Thursday rain). Firefighters left the scene not long after 4:30am.

The reported new, metal barn was located on Cave Springs Road, just off Long Hollow Road. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-09/04/2025-6AM)
