JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell High Football team was back on Reynolds Field Tuesday preparing for Friday’s non-region game on Mike Sivert Field. The oh and one Cougars will visit the Cherokee Chiefs (1 & 0), a 4-A team that has fluctuated between playing in 4-A and 5-A.
“I thought offensively we had a good day, focused and crisp,” said Campbell Head Coach Taylor Ownbey. A good breeze blew on The Hill as the Cougars practiced on a pleasant afternoon yesterday.
“Defensively, we were putting in some new wrinkles. So, it didn’t go as well. But that happens with putting in new stuff,” said Coach O.

Cherokee defeated the Tigers at Pigeon Forge on Friday in its opener. The final score was 34-13. Campbell fell at Lenoir City to the Panthers 43 to 7.
“So, hopefully, they come ready to work hard again Wednesday to get everything ironed out before Friday,” said Coach Ownbey.
