Meeting starts today at 5:30pm at La Follette City Hall

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The La Follette City Council meets this afternoon at 5:30 at City Hall for its monthly workshop. On the agenda to be discussed are bids for bleachers, responder trucks for the fire department, city administrator vehicle and two administrative vehicles for the police department.

Two event permit requests, for the Talley Town Festival and Rocky Top Power Run, are also slated to be discussed.

Patricia Siwinski, Director of the Campbell County Animal Shelter, is on the agenda to discuss animal control. Last month at the regular meeting, the council discussed ending its animal control program but did not move forward due to a lack of a second motion when voting.

Several promotions are on the agenda beginning with Laura Smith to assistant finance director, Jami Wadle to a full time lieutenant/detective, Justin Tackett to a full time patrolman, Aidyn Fudala to a full time patrolman, Kayliegh Norman to a full time patrolman, Tavian McCullah to a full time patrolman, and Christopher Richardson to a full time laborer.
