Saturday features one of the muggiest days of the season, so far

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Saturday’s temperatures range from the upper 80s to near 90 as humidity runs high, very high to go along with breezes and more clouds than sun. Scattered to numerous storms are expected again this afternoon and evening.

The best coverage expected to be north of Interstate 40 including Campbell County. A few strong to severe storms may produce gusty winds. Heavy downpours over already saturated ground and repetitive rounds of rain over the same locations may lead to flash flooding this afternoon and evening.

Hot and muggy conditions will return next week across much of the Tennessee valley. Heat indices from 100 to 105 degrees is expected over the Tennessee valley.
