The new First Baptist Church of Lafollette opened to its first service in March 1928

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- This Throwback Thursday goes back to March 1949 and looks at the First Baptist Church of Lafollette.

The sign out front tells by passers of a revival that starts Wednesday, March 31,  nightly at 7:30, led by Rev. Ralph Murray, Pastor of Smithwood Baptist Church at Fountain City and music by Fred Hawkins, Music Director at First Baptist Church Clinton.

First Baptist Church had its first service in this new building on Wednesday evening, March 14, 1928. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/17/2025-6AM)
