A late morning ATV accident happened on the south end of Campbell County

OAK GROVE, TN (WLAF)- A juvenile wrecked an ATV down an embankment Monday morning suffering serious injuries, according to officials.

The mishap occurred on an ATV trail off Oak Grove Lane on the south end of Campbell County. The call came in to Central Dispatch at 11:07am Monday.

It took first responders a few minutes to bring the patient up the 20-foot embankment due to the roughness of the terrain.

The young man was transported by Campbell County EMS to the football field at Rocky Top where he was airlifted by a medical helicopter and taken to a Knoxville hospital.

Reports are that the patient is suffering from multiple leg injuries.

The Ridgewood Volunteer Fire Department and La Follette Rescue Squad responded along with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/14/2025-NOON)
