Campbell hosts Karns for Homecoming on Friday

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- It was a tough night at Brown Gym for Campbell as Oak Ridge came to town and soundly defeated the Orange-and-Blue.

In the girls’ game, the Lady Cougars trailed by 10 to 13 points most of the game. Then, Oak Ridge went on a long run at the end of the game to advance the score to a final of 62-33.

As for the Cougars, a fast flurry of offense was quickly put aside by Oak Ridge. Campbell started off up 4-0, but it was all Wildcats the rest of the way. Oak Ridge left with a 76-30 victory.

Lady Cougar Lacey Pemberton, the Mills Door and More Player of the Game, led the scoring column with 14 points. Saylor Hutcheson scored seven points. Carley Kitts and Aleah Woodson both finished with three. Preslee Chapman, Jayden Kitts, and Bella Lester all had two points a piece.

For the Cougars, Will Croley and Keegan Nelson led the scorebook with six points apiece. Nelson is your Mills Door and More Player of the Game. Luke Browning finished with five points. Gavin Cox and Jake Hatmaker both had four apiece. Hunter Dotson scored three points, and Sam Sexton and Brady Hatmaker finished with one point a piece.

Up next for the Orange-and-Blue is homecoming. Karns comes to Brown Gym on Friday.
