One patient airlifted; I-75 reopened later Thursday afternoon

The driver of this Dodge Ram Van was trapped inside the vehicle.

JELLICO, TN (WLAF)- Interstate 75 northbound at the 158 mile marker was shut down around 2:30pm Thursday due to a single-vehicle wreck. That’s two miles south of Jellico.

It was closed due to an overturned vehicle.

This mishap occurred near a construction zone.

The patient was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the Jellico Hospital. The male was then airlifted to the UT Medical Center at Knoxville via a medical helicopter.

  1. They need to slow the traffic down and fix the pot holes. The are huge and deep. I travel it every other week daily . I hate it
