The smoke from a controlled burn could be seen for miles

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- If you saw the thick, black smoke lifting into the Downtown La Follette sky around lunch time on Tuesday, you likely wondered just what was on fire.

It was a dilapidated house up above North Tennessee Avenue, and it was actually a controlled burn, training session, set by the La Follette Fire Department and then extinguished by the same LFD Firefighters, according to Chief Jimmy Pack.
