Mary Magdalene “Maggie” Daugherty age 80 of Caryville entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 30, 2024. She was born August 26, 1944, in Clinchmore to the late Rev. Dan and Mary Seiber Daughtery. Maggie was a member of Central Baptist Church. She loved going to church and worshipping. Maggie enjoyed being with her family and friends and entertaining her “Grandkids”. She was a social butterfly who never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Paul, Sam and James Daugherty; her sisters Margaret Leslie and Geneva Newport; her brother in laws Charles Leslie, Eldon Newport and Paul Lynch; her sister in laws Kathleen Daugherty and Margaret Daugherty.

Maggie is survived by her loving sister Nancy Lynch of Caryville; her brother John Daugherty of Jacksboro; her sister-in-law Evadean Daugherty of Caryville; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews that she loved so much and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Maggie will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Her funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Tim Moore, Rev. Jasper Walden, and Dr. Shaun Lynch presiding. Family and friends will meet at 1:15 PM on Wednesday, December 4, at the funeral home to go to the funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 PM interment.
