Jacksboro Lady Eagles defeat Robertsville 34 to 23 while the Rams win 51 to 32 over the Eagles

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- On Tuesday, at Jim and Linda Agee Gymnasium on the campus of Jacksboro Middle School, the Lady Eagles and Eagles hosted a familiar district foe, Robertsville.
The Lady Eagles and Lady Rams tipped-off first in a game with major district implications. The winner would be in the driver’s seat of the district standings.
Addy Coleman got the scoring started for Jacksboro with a quick two point bucket. Julie Lawson, Kaylee Albright, Khloe Johnson found the bottom of the net as well in the first quarter. After the first frame, Robertsville led though 9-8.
The Lady Rams outscored Jacksboro in the second period by a score of 11-7, leading 20-15 at half time.
Head Coach of the Lady Eagles Patrick Davis would have to make adjustments at half time, and he did just that.
The Lady Eagles flew out to a 13-0 run to start the third quarter. Seven straight points came from Addy Coleman. Jacksboro’s defense also held Robertsville to one point in the entire third quarter. At the end of the third, it was Jacksboro leading Robertsville 28-21.
Jacksboro maintained its lead over the Lady Rams, and led when the buzzer sounded 34-23. The Lady Eagles remain in first place in the district, with an undefeated record of 5-0.
Unofficially, Addy Coleman led Jacksboro in scoring with 13 points. Julie Lawson and Alexa York both had six points. Kaylee Albright racked up five points, and Khloe Johnson finished the Lady Eagles’ scoring with four points.
Up next was the varsity boys game. This was a game where Robertsville never trailed, but Jacksboro always kept the game within reach. After the first quarter, Jacksboro only trailed by two, 12-10. However after this, Robertsville mainly kept its lead to about ten points.
The Rams extended their lead in the fourth quarter, winning by a final score of 51-32.
Max Stanfill was the lights-out shooter for Jacksboro on Tuesday. He had exactly half of the Eagles’ points, 16. Jack Sexton followed with six points, as did David Smith. Skylar Moore and Jerian Smith tacked on two points to the Eagles’ final tally.
