LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Basketball season returns to WLAF. At 6pm, tune in to the WLAF-Doyle’s Tire Sports Network for coverage of the biannual “Battle of the Birds.” The Lady Eagles and Lady Owls tip off first at 6pm followed by the Eagles and Owls.
Jacksboro’s girls basketball team enters undefeated, 3-0 on the season. Coach Patrick Davis in his first season at the helm of the JMS program, prepares his team to face 0-2 LaFollette led by second year head coach Sarah Moses.
Expect to see Addy Coleman, Alexa York, and Khloe Johnson really shine for the Blue-and-Gold with Taraji Abernathy, Piper Wells, and Angelyca Kemp being some names to remember for the Lady Owls.
For the boys’ games, LaFollette is under the leadership of veteran head coach Ken Weaver. Lucas Crisp, Chase Suttles, and Caden Pyle should get their names called for the Orange-and-Black. Just like the Lady Owls, the Owls also enter with a 0-2 record with losses to the Oak Ridge duo of Jefferson and Robertsville.
The Eagles enter the battle with a two win, one loss record. Norris got the best of Jacksboro in the first game of the year. Chris and Kensey Smith are the two-year coaching team in charge of readying the Eagles. Skyler Moore, Max Stanfill, and David Smith are just three Eagles to keep an eye on tonight.
