Campbell County Coalition of Recovery Resources chose eight organizations to receive a portion of the funds

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- More than $200, 000 in Opioid abatement funds were distributed at Monday’s County Commission meeting.
General Sessions Judge Bill Jones, along with commissioners, presented funds to representatives at the start of the commission meeting. A total of eight local organizations are benefitting from these funds.
Representatives from several organizations were present for the distribution.
Commissioners received information from General Sessions Judge Bill Jones back in June regarding decisions on how the opioid abatement disbursement funds will be allotted. A board/coalition had been created by the Addiction Awareness Committee to oversee the fund disbursement. Applications were taken in March and April. The total amount of funds being disbursed this year is $235,452.32.
The Campbell County Coalition of Recovery Resources chose eight organizations to receive a portion of the $235.452.32 available. Organizations who received funds include Pinnacle Resource Center, Bridges to Recovery, Springs of Life, Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County, HOL Health Counseling, General Sessions Recovery Court, CHET Veterans Court, and STAND Campbell United.
