LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)_ If you’re looking for home style cooking for your next big event, Classy Threads and Catering is the company to call.

Classy Threads is locally owned by Vanessa Dupuy, who has been in business for 28 years!

Dupuy and her team cater all kinds of events, from weddings to wedding rehearsals, banquets, company events and more. She makes “good, hearty, home-style cooking and plenty of it.”

In addition to catering, Vanessa Dupuy also has a beautiful singing voice.

Dupuy learned how to cook growing up in Campbell County on a farm. She’s said she cooked every day and has just “always loved to cook and share food with people.”

She had already been operating her sewing business Classy Threads and would often make snacks for the brides and their families during the fittings. One of the brides enjoyed her chicken salad sandwiches so much, she asked her if she could make 10 pounds of it for her wedding. Dupuy said yes and the catering part of her business was born.

Classy Threads and Catering can handle it all, from wedding rehearsal dinners and receptions to company business events and more!

Over the past 28 year, Dupuy’s business has grown and expanded “thanks to all her loyal customers and their word-of-mouth advertising.”

“The good Lord has blessed me so much and I appreciate the support of everyone. I like to show my love for people with food,” Dupuy said.

The youthful Bobbie Archer, right, recently celebrated her 80th birthday.

She said she was thankful for her family as well and that her mother Bobbie Archer had been helping her since the beginning as well as inspiring her.

“Mom has been with me since the start, she’s been right by my side. Good home cooked food is what I was raised on and that’s what I make; nothing fancy, just good home cooked food and plenty of it,” Dupuy said.
