JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Teachers make a difference in their students’ lives every day. For many students, having a teacher who cares and goes that extra mile can be the difference in a successful education and graduation. We’ve all had that teacher who inspired us or helped in some way. That’s why WLAF and Eagle Tire Pros salute all of our hard-working educators with a weekly feature.
This week’s featured teacher is Terri Chaniott. She teaches Art at Campbell County High School and is in her fifth year as an art teacher at CCHS.
Her hobbies include art, quilting and gardening.

Terri Chaniott is Eagle Tire Pros Teacher of the week. She teaches Art at CCHS and is pictured with her husband Brien.
Chaniott is a Campbell County native. She attended LaFollette Elementary and LaFollette Middle School and is 1981 graduate of CCHS. She received her art degree from ETSU.
She has come full circle from being an art student at CCHS to now teaching there herself! Though she has only been teaching at the high school for five years, Chaniott has been teaching art classes for nearly 40 years.
“Georgia Green inspired me to go for a career in art education. I’ve been teaching art since 1986, but only five years as art teacher at CCHS,” Chaniott said.

She loves teaching at the high school and said her favorite part of the job is ‘passing on her secrets to the next generation of artists.”
She also said CCHS has a great art program for the students to get the “full art experience.”
“Campbell County High School has been a great place to work, the art room is everything a teacher could wish for, with plenty of space and the administration makes sure I have everything I need to give the students a full and complete art experience.”
Every Thursday, WLAF’s Charlotte Underwood features the WLAF – Eagle Tire Pros teacher of the week. That educator also receives a free oil change from Eagle Tire Pros.
